In short, use eBay as a marketting channel, sell your media items on Amazon or biblio, etsy for handmade items, eCrater for added exposure, START YOUR OWN WEBSITE & drive traffic to yourself via all avenue's. I can't stress this enough!! The alternative to eBay will never be another auction site. The alternative will and always has been yourself. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." [/quote] How much would you say you need to start up a decent site? I am on such a tight budget right now its rediculas! My other question is; Is the shopping cart the way you set up your whole site? I am telling you, I am clueless when it comes to all of this but I am interested in doing it someday as long as I can get it to look nice and professional. |

[/quote] You really could start out fairly cheap. First you need your domain name - less than $10.00/yr most places. Then hosting - TT has hosting really cheap (see the side banner, only $3.79/mo). Also an SSL certificate (GoDaddy has them for $20/yr - TT may offer them too). You can find free templates out there if you look or you can use the stock one that will come with your shopping cart. Entering product is really easy, a lot like eCrater. You create categories and then products under them. Hope that helps a little!
