It's unbelievable that they have not closed your store yet.  It should not be this hard to close a store.  Is this your post from the farewell board on WP

Everything is going as predicted. Again, unlike REAL auction venues, there is no "close your account" link with WP. Hell, no. Ray is going to suck every last nanopenny out of you. Make you get on your knees and BEG, until either (1) you've paid more than you owe, or (2) write a scathing farewell post that gets you axed. Either way, you'll be labeled a deadbeat, so my advice is to make it easy on yourself by just telling it like it is and get canned.

How many other Poppers do you suppose would split the Koolaid stand if they knew how to do it and were willing to put up with all the   they figure they'll sure to receive once they know the process? Judging from all the stores that are simply limp fish -- there in name and not actively worked -- I'd say there are probably a good chunk of sellers who find it too much trouble to close, were once cheerleaders and are too embarrassed to close, or figure that since they'll end up getting invoiced for another month they DON'T owe when they DO close, they might as well keep the store open another month, since they'll be paying for it either way.

Communists built an iron curtain to keep their people from escaping, and Ray has the "exit fee" technique, which is, in effect, makes Poppers post ransome for their release. And just to make sure he has Poppers coming and doing, Ray had instituted a "re-activation fee" should you want to become a member again on down the road. WHAT A MORON! Imagine, eBay or any other LEGITIMATE auction site doing that? And to even think that anyone would even WANT to join up again, let alone PAY for the privilege, proves that this guy's ego is W-A-Y larger than that his brain compacity or business sense.

WP is, was, and always will be, the laughing stock of ecommerce.

Wow, it is quiet amazing the nonsense one has to put up with just to close a store.

I will be sure whenever I decided to finally close to request it two days after I pay my final invoice, just to see what kind of crap they come up with. 

Has anyone gone in and deleated their URL when getting ready to close their store? I know we have access to change our URL for our store. Has anyone tried changing it to wagglepopsucks?

That would be a cute url, maybe they would deleate it faster??

I guess you are right. I wanted to being nice about it but it isn't working. Watch the board. This may get deleted as soon as I post it. It is sad that the only way to get something done there it to be nasty about it. It is against my nature. :-[

Save whatever post you give WP and make sure you copy here, because I can GUARANTEE if it's anything less than rah-rah, pass-the-Koolaid milktoast, it will be deleted from the WP board.

Don't waste your good nature on Ray. He is a hypocrite and a scammer and eats nice guys for lunch along with a pitcher of Koolaid laced with a cup or two of ego-gratification. Anybody who doesn't kiss his hiney is the enemy. He is king of his domain, and in his own words, "if you don't like it, you can hit the bricks."  This is not a guy who deserves your niceness any more than the buglar who breaks into your home, holds your family hostage and robs you blind.

I have been asking Karen to close my store for four days now. Due to some problems I am having and the fact that no one is buying or even looking at my listings here I have to go. I paid my fees up to the closing request date. All my Items have been removed. All my pages have been removed. It seems to me that all WP is interested in is collecting from their sellers. I don’t see any help from them whatsoever. No new announcements to let us know what is going on with WP. The store counts are going the wrong way. I feel like I’m being held for ransom. I do not owe any money and I’m wouldn’t pay any more money even if I had it. I think this is still America. I’m an American. This isn’t a communist country. I shouldn’t be held captive when I want to go. My taxes are paid, sales, state, federal, food, real property, car and it seems even the air I breathe. I’m not being held in “Getmo.” I want out it is that simple.

I did the best I could to help myself with some extra income. All I did was spend some money that I couldn’t afford to spend. Maybe I will try lottery tickets. To all who remain here I wish you nothing but good luck.

I just published the latest Sales Report, and due to site caching schedules it should be available for all members to view after about 11:45 am EST today.

For the month of April sales were up 10.4% from the previous month.

Sorry for the delay, we have been working primarily on the changes needed to adapt to the USPS changeover on the 14th

How is this even possible? Honestly. I can't believe these Poppers actually believe whatever BS KaRay shoves down their throats.

And as far as USPS, I may be wrong, but over on the Zen forums it sounded as though the API information wasn't even available until the last couple days. How on earth were they (WP) working on it all this time?
