Somebody finally broke the cone of silence. The WP Adv Selling board went 8 HOURS and 9 minutes without a single post ! Oh Yeah, the sellers there are REALLY pumped up !!
:blinkie:
You've never been to Woot? :blinkie: woot.com They offer one item for sale starting at midnight for 24 hours or until they run out, whichever comes first. About once every few weeks, they have what they call a Woot Off. Then they keep changing items every time one sells out (usually for around 48 hrs or so). I forgot to add....on Tuesdays they do "Two for Tuesday" and usually have something really low priced that comes in a two pack. I picked up some flash drives that way. All their shipping is only $5.00 no matter what the item is.
I just checked it out... very cool! Thanks for the fyi... |

Another culling of the herd soon.

I love woot!
Rat, I meant Ray's post. Your posts are never stupid. Sorry  I don't REALLY understand all there is to understand about Alexa ratings. I am still learning, but they are definitely important. I guess as long as Ray tells the poppers they aren't important, they will believe him and never try to learn. Sad.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Another complaint of slow servers on WP:
Quote:It just took over an hour to go from preview to post on one auction I was working on, when I was doing nothing else but, even had to start completely over at one point, readd pics, etc, it's ridiculous that this happens frequently, usually always on a weekend!! This is why I don't do the listing contests, WP has beyond slow moments that freeze and take forever to do one auction and it's not the browser I'm using, cause it's done it on all 3 I use. |

Ray should move the database to a separate server. |

It probably won't be long until Ray could put the entire database on a floppy disk, and just carry it with him as a momento....
