Hi TT'ers ! Been quiet here since yesterday. Slightly OT question here. Below are the site stats for my website. Can someone tell me the difference between "visits" and "hits". I always thought they were the same thing. (?)

Visit: someone visited your site Page View: someone looked at a page on your site . Hits: a completely useless and meaningless statistic that is often confused with page views. example of how hits are counted: if someone looks at a page on your site that has 10 graphics it will result in 11 hits, if that page has 20 graphics it will produce 21 hits, etc. |

Thanks for clearing that up Mandy. At 10 items per page, that would explain the high hit count.
Still, the "visit" number makes me happy, for a site this new !
