Hello Members,

I would like to assure everyone that the site had no down time whatsoever on the server-side over the time period referred to.

Here in the Northeast, we did have a sudden series of thunderstorms that knocked out power in various grids, and any inability to access WP was likely related to an ISP route issue and corresponding hop interference.

Even with very good traffic numbers, the load on the site servers over the periods noted were extremely low relative to actual traffic (about less than 1% of overall capacity), and there was no database "overload" in terms of serving the elements that allow access to indexed listings.

The ghosted database server configuration we use for that specifically prevents that from happening.

When there is a server-side issue, the alarming system will call myself, Andrew, and our engineering contractor by telephone, even in the middle of the night, so we can address issues immediately when necessary, and no alarm was issued

Evidence of this is what we consider to be a phenomenal uptime record over the past year that we would consider difficult to match by any other site with such a dynamic basis of operation

ps KaRay, with this statement you are basically saying that hardly anyone was using any of the more CPU intensive parts of RScript...like bidding or buying...or listing new items.

Yay! KaRay finally admits WP sales suck and the number of listings has been sliding for months !
