I had one sale on the first of April. Must have been an April Fool's joke because they never paid.

Have had not even a nibble since then! Getting very discouraged at this point. Although I intend to keep this store, I am opening a store elsewhere because I cannot afford to invest time and money and not sell anything.

I still believe WP is the best alternative to elsewhere, but it's not a hobby for me.

I'll admit it here - I'm shocked totally - I'm very surprised this thread hasn't been yanked by WP - it's showing some highly disgruntled sellers!

I have to close my store for personal reasons. Is there anyway to delete everything at once? I am so tired of doing it one at a time.

Was posted on June 6th. Click on the link and the store is no longer there. Going to check on thier listings ...

I, too, am very shocked that thread has survived this long. Maybe Ray is on a late lunch?

Oh Platzki I am so glad to hear that Dusty is doing fine! I am sure your kids will be thrilled and you must be so relieved! If he is begging for pizza he must be feeling better! Now it is time to put on your nurses cap (I think all of us moms weather it be for human children or pets have one). Hopefully Dusty will be a willing patient! I just got finished with two weeks of nursing my injured horse back to health and believe me it was some job! Although he is a gelding he is the "Biggest" drama queen at the barn. After my two weeks of changing bandages twice a day, hosing, hand walking and of course worrying he has gotten a clean bill of health! Was I so tired I could not stand it? Yes! Was it worth it and would I do it again? In a heartbeat!

Please keep us posted on his recovery....I have been checking this board every couple of hours just to hear how you all are doing! Glad to hear some good news!

Patti, they are gone. That store was reported as closed in my update this morning (first post on page 920). But since they didn't close all their listings, they are still floating around out there as active.

Read thru the list too quickly apparently. But I didn't see any of her listings in google that were open ...


Thanks for the update Sherrand. I am surprised to see that the store count still hovers around 230. I'd figure that number to be a lot lower by now ....

Karma, in my research I've actually found feedback left for their buyers but obviously not reciprocated. 3 at least that I've come across recently. So they have had a few sales but I must agree with you. Their track record since August doesn't justify Showcase store costs for 10 months in my opinion. $495.00 correct?

As I challenged another (now ex) popper a few months ago; surely they could find a more deserving charity to throw their money at.

I wholeheartedly recommend branching out to other sites. The best plan these days is to NOT have all of your eggs in one basket. Although Wagglepop has been my main selling home since July 2006 and I love selling here, I have a presence on several other sites as well. It hasn't happened overnight. It's been a gradual process over the last year with slowly and patiently building as time allows. It is most definitely worth the effort though. I'm happy with the sales that I get on Wagglepop, but don't depend on them entirely. This method really wards off discouragement because if I happen to be having a slow week here on WP, I never have time to think about feeling down because I'm shipping sales from other sites and always thinking about what I want to get done next. I love it when I get a nice bunch of sales here, but I'll happy take the sales if they come from elsewhere too (some weeks generate sales from half a dozen different sites). In addition to this being a profitable plan, it's also very educational. There's a lot that can be learned from experiencing multiple venues, AND selling skills and strategies learned on one site can almost always be transferred to other sites. The bottom line is that I rarely ever go a day without a sale, and I rarely ever go to bed at night without realizing that I learned something new that day.

I strongly prefer this method of selling to the method of 'site hopping' where sellers put a lot of work into setting up shop on a site, then give up and tear it all down before they can reap any rewards from their effort. Then they start all over again from square one on another venue.

Now we have Molly, our 6-year-old long-haired mini doxie, and she is definitely just like one of my kids. I've even been fretting over the dog food recall lately. I wanted to change her food because with this recall, I've been reading a lot, and I want to give her something better, but I'm scared to change it now. Everything was quiet for a couple of weeks and I thought I would try something new, but now a lab in Houston has found acetaminophin (spelling?), yep, Tylenol, in dog food! They won't tell which brand(s) are involved. They notified the company a month ago, which was supposed to notify the FDA and never did. And they were foods not already on the recall list. This is way too scary! Now that the FDA is finally involved, who knows how many more foods and animals will be affected?!

Sorry I got off on a tangent, but I'm really glad to hear about Buddy!

R -  My darling hubby was the same way today.  It's such an emotional thing.  I was a basket case.  I wanted the vet to give me drugs.  It is so exhausting to have another life in your hands.  I am surprised to hear about the Tylenol thing... how on earth does that get into dog food??  I'd tangent too but I'm too tired. I'll tangent later... LOL
