OT. Just wanted to let everyone know that Dusty got sick again. He's been throwing up everything for two whole days. The vet said that he didn't feel he would get better no matter what we did. We had to put him down tonight. Please say a little prayer for him, OK? Talk to you all later. [/quote] Platzki, I am so sorry. Please know, that even though your heart is broken, you did the right thing for Dusty. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. |

I do believe you did the right thing and Dusty is thanking you from Rainbow Bridge. In case you've never heard or read it: http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm (((Hugs to you)))

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
the only contribution i have to make about WP is that since i run a small Christian music/bookstore, last year i was thinking about opening a ebay store, and that's when new fees kicked in so there was talk on their forums about how good WP was, so i headed that way
i started posting looking for advice on WP and a person named book cathedral offered me lots of help and even assistance on a free logo. this person then suggested that WP forums be open to the public, just like ebay, so new visitors could check out the forums, he or she was blasted and pretty much kicked out of WP. so i decided to take a back seat and wait to see if WP was ever gonna take off the only attractive part of WP was the 9.95 a month, but reading here, now i know that i can have my own site with even less than that per month. now if i could only learn how to develop it :-\ |

Platzki I'm so sorry that you had to go through this. eclectica is right you did the right thing. I know how hard it is and what your feeling now because they really do become part of your family. The link electica posted to the poem rainbow bridge is a beautiful poem do take the time to read it if you have not already. Someone sent me that poem when I had to put my dog down. Maybe you will find a some comfort in it. Take care.

My heart breaks for you and your family. I know it was a hard decision to make, but please know you did what was the kindest and most loving thing that could have been done. Dusty is pain free and feeling like a puppy again now. If there's anything I can do, you know where to find me. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I'd say you made a smart move not going to WP but then I'm prejudiced. There have been other stores there in the past that sell product like yours and I watched them leave too. As far as your own website, go for it. It would be the best move you could make. You'll find lots of help here outside of this thread and as well as talent within to get you on your way.
