Hi all - A sincere thanx for all the well wishes, prayers, and kind words for my family and I, especially my mom. This is so very hard and I'm trying to stay strong. It's times like this when you especially NEED your friends to help you get by. Ooohhh....there's a song! Will keep you posted - know more Thursday. (((TT Peeps)))

River, et. al. I second what Sherrand just said. All GTC listings will remain active until KaRayAnd decides to close them -- today, tomorrow, never. It matters not if you've been banned, close on your own volition, send a thousand messages to CC, stand on your head while you juggle and drink Koolaid, or whatever feats of acrobatic achievement you may display. The listings STAY on the tote board -- period. ::: snip ::: Case in point - I dealt with one seller who vanished last fall. I placed an order with her in late September or early October. Never received an invoice, never heard from her after repeated attempts; finally purchased my item from scoop's WP store. Her store disappeared sometime in November, yet she still has many, many active items. This is just a few of them:
Well, isn't that just lovely! I haven't seen that make-up lady for months and there her listings sit. Like I got nothing f**king better to do than spend hours de-listing! Arrrgggh! |

OT Update - My mom is struggling w/lung cancer and it's been a few weeks /month of hell for our family. Lots of test and biopsies, etc. Will know if options have run out or not on Thursday. First doctors said removal of lobe, specialist says no, not viable enough to survive. Tumor too close to the heart, so radiation is out also. The last option may be chemo, but she has adamantly said no to that. She doesn't want the remainder of her time to be sick and bald! Can't blame her there, but don't want to lose her either. So, let's see what Thursday brings. Prayers are more than welcome.
Nancy - so sorry to hear about your Mom's illness. I'll be keeping her and your family in my thoughts & prayers. ((Hugs!)) Ok, I may have missed this somewhere. Could someone explain who Vas is? Are they a seller? (no banner on their posts). Or a cheerleader with a lot of time to waste? : Edited to add: Why do none of the Poppers question the presence on the boards?
Vas is a seller who has been at WP2 since day one. When I joined, we became fast friends and always posted amd pm'ed each other... she was actually pretty cool. I have no idea what she's up to now because I am banned from WP. Just wanted to give you some background. From what I've read here tho... I guess she's still cheering. |

I had the coolest pair of jeans in the world. The had a zipper that ran from my back, down between my legs and up the front... not snaps or buttons. In other words, if you unzipped them completely, you got a leg in each hand. I loved those jeans... my brother called them my easy access jeans and would yell at my mom for letting me wear them out of the house!!!! ROFL!!!!
Great jeans! I saw those back in the day. I was the big, big hair, miniskirt queen! They couldn't get much shorter & the hair couldn't get much bigger. It was so entertaining getting all that crud & tangles out of my hair the next morning! |

Nancy, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Platz, you too, about Dusty. I've been dealing with a death and still my father, and when I hear about these things from others, my mind goes blank.. I just don't know what to say because it all sounds so hollow to me.
My point is, Nancy (or anybody struggling with anything), whatever you need, if I can help in any way you get through this tough time, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm just not good at offering.. |

I just don't know what to say because it all sounds so hollow to me. ::: snip :::
Nancy, Platz, Prin ... I would like to share this with y'all. This poem has always brought me much comfort. Sorrow's Bane Love is the one thing That keeps our spirits whole When Sorrow comes a knocking With hurts that touch our soul When our world falls around us Darkness fills our dreams Its love that lifts our spirits Bridging Sorrow's streams Love calls us from the brink Of being swallowed by the stream Dispels depression And warms us in its gleam Love helps us through the horror Of love lost or led astray Through mans trespass Or angels spirit them away Love comes to give us comfort And wipe away the tears Love will shield our spirits When Sorrow's shadow nears Loves light whisper Will stifle Sorrow's gain In lifes losses Love is Sorrows bane Author - Ed Schmidt Huggles to all!
