How is it possible to pay 86.4% of your revenues in fees and to do it consistently for 2 years?  We used eBay to sell off some returns, overstocks, and artwork in May and June.  Our eBay fees were about the same as Ray's ($296 eBay fees plus $148 PayPal fees) but that figure represented only 7.8% of sales not friggin' 86.4%.

You'd think that after 2 years of barely breaking even when he sells Ray would finally get it through his hamster head that he needs to change the way he sells--but then again you'd also think that WP sellers who have only had 2 buyers in 2 years would find a different venue where they could actually make  money and turn a profit.  :

With eBay and Paypal, my fees were about 15% of the total, but my average sale price was $10, so the insertion and Paypal $.30 took a bite out of the total... I would have never stayed there 5+ years with 86% paying eBay's fees, unless I sold cut out pages from magazines I found in my grandmother's basement. That's 14% net profit from a free piece of paper, and 10 seconds to cut it out. I worked my a$$ off to clear 20% profit (on a lot more sales though) and he cuts out his grandma's magazines for 14% on 25 sales a month. He isn't as dumb as the average boinktard... but his buyers are.

Also, I really wonder if he is accepting eBay payments with the Wagglepop Paypal account? If he is using a different Premier or Business account, he is in a major violation of Paypal TOS and can lose both accounts overnight. There is only one business/premier account and one personal account allowed per household. Maybe he registered it in Mark and Karen's names? Maybe Chris? That's false financial info and will get him booted as well.

If I could find anything of value to buy from Ray on eBay, I'd check it out for myself just to see who the payment goes to. But unfortunately, I keep my desk so filled with magazines from suppliers and businesses to find room for a magazine page from 1945.

Per the TOS, yes. But in reality, no. I spoke to a PayPal sales rep this week regarding this. If they are 2 completely separate businesses, PayPal will let you have 2 different accounts. From what he told me, the frontline CS reps don't know this and it's done on a case by case basis. But, they're letting me do it with an LLC and a separate sole proprietorship. Ray may be a boinktard, but he's probably got his bases covered there.

It's not the second half of the year until midnight! Maybe Ray will give up his side project "Marketshare" for an hour a day to grace them with Andrew's presence starting tomorrow... Or maybe he's too darn busy shipping all his eBay sales. Give the guy a freakin' break! He's got a whole 100 members to cultify!

Interesting info about Paypal... I don't think they'd let me do that though. Since I refused to pay back a fraudulent chargeback after emptying my Paypal account last year, they don't seem to want much to do with me. I keep a personal account for buying, since I have several bank accounts/cards, but they catch up and lock them after about 6 months. The one payment I accepted last year, they magically located me within hours and locked it immediately with a whole $6 payment in there. ;D
