I've always thought that "he" was a "she" from California.

And after listing nearly 20K auto floor mats for over two years, he still shows no evidence of EVER selling a single one off the WP site. Maybe he should apply for some TARP money.

They should look everywhere to strip capital out of their business because capital is going to be more expensive.”, I don't think he meant you should completely eliminate your store and use Yahoo's free email as your exclusive sales channel...

Very true... though coincidentally enough, this store and another fairly large one both recently relocated to WA.

If WP were any other venue I might be inclined to agree, but just the name "Wagglepop" strikes fear and loathing in the hearts of thousands in lands near and far. No, this time Ray REALLY shot himself in the foot. On all other occasions he whined and nasty kangarooed like a baby and all the Koolaid-drugged long-haulers rallied to his aid. It was one pathetic pity play after another. Well, he played out his cards until the only one left was the ultimate whine -- 'I'M SHUTTING IT DOWN'. Three years of crying "wolf" but this time none is rallying to his rescue. Nobody believes in him or his crapola any more. He could magically "sell" the site to an alter-ego called "LIttle Miss Goodie Two-Shoes" and still his crapola-stained hands would be all over the name and its reputation.

I really believe the complete hopelessness and apologetic tone of AndRay's single post in weeks about closing, and that there is only one announcement anywhere on the site (on the forums) that he is going to take over as the new owner in his multi-persona business "sale." Why change the site, add all the announcements, and delete the store package just to sell it back to yourself? And why leave the Smart Sell package signup open on the front page? Carelessness maybe? I vote for: Ray is, was, and always will be a liar. He isn't closing crap as long as he has some suckers willing to pay him. The stores that close can come back to the "new owner" with the flick of a switch, fully opened and stocked stores just like the Thunder Road store did.
Then, they can all chat about their lack of "sells" with the new owner.

Over the past few days, I've been reading back over this thread and laughing my ass off!!  I miss so many people who used to post here...

Anyway, everything that we discussed, expected and of course predicted is now happening.  As I was reading thru the posts, KayAndRay certainly was cocky when kicking people out and off.  He/She/They was so sure that WP going to be the cult of the future!!!

He kicked out his own customers!!!!!!!!!!!!  Now he's surprised that there's no one left?  Good riddance!!

Just sad that I guess this thread will end too....

Unless, of course, the new defeated poppers come over to the light and share their thoughts on the demise of WP2 and their thoughts of a possible WP3.
