http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.jspa?t...1000289528&tstart=0&mod=1148576936705 I realize that it says bad things about me as a person that I am enjoying watching eBay . . . squirm.
They deserve to squirm. The arrogant bastards thought they knew what was best for everyone. Wouldn't listen to the people who were actually working the business day in and day out. Screw 'em. |

Re: Update on eBay Express
Anita's thread was a stroke of genius. When last I checked, we were closing in on 100 sellers (and easily tens of thousands of listings) opted out.

I don't think I ever clicked my preferences over to "opt in," so I think I've been opted out since the beginning.

There are probably still *millions* opted in....
Every party needs a pooper!! I had the post pulled from the Express Mess board. People said it was confusing to have it on two boards. The post on the Stores Board is still there... last I checked. |

Re: Update on eBay Express
From Adam on Express Board spinning madly:
Quote:7. eBay Express is designed to benefit eBay Store sellers From ~Bob on this board: Quote:They deserve to squirm. The arrogant bastards thought they knew what was best for everyone. Wouldn't listen to the people who were actually working the business day in and day out. Screw 'em. Amen. They really screwed up this time :chitfan:. What they don't seem to get is that stores is all about creating your own brand/business. Express is about eBay selling inventory you supply to them hopefully as anonymously as possible--the total opposite of the stores concept. This is not going to fly with the more sophisticated store sellers and is directly what caused me to open my site. Cross-selling is crucial to me. Thanks to the TT crusaders the knowledge that other avenues are out there and how to do it is available. I know this is a slow time of year for me and gas prices here are $3.50/gallon, but my month old web site had more hits on it than my eBay store last week. Something strange is going on. They seem to have done something when 5000 to 12000 feedback sellers are posting that their sales dropped to practically nothing. I don't recall seeing that before. I can't explain it. I was never in Express and I haven't been running auctions since November. I see my items coming up in eBay searches, but I'm not selling anything from my eBay store. I started running auctions on another i.d. that goes directly to my new site and I am getting bids. Is there a way for eBay to shut off the stores?? Did they shut off some Google ads?? Is Google screwing with eBay? Kim |

If they are, I certainly hope they are using protection. |
