eBay Expects its European sales to pass US sales soon

Quote:According to CEO Meg Whitman, sales at the eBay web site will soon be greater in Europe than on the home market in the US. Whitman told German magazine Wirtschaftswoche that eBay's sales revenue is already roughly equal in the US and in Europe. Whitman therefore expects sales in the Old World to surpass revenue in the US soon. And eBay believes that Europe has even more growth potential. Germany is the biggest foreign market for the auction site with sales of almost 700 million dollars, even ahead of Great Britain...
