LOL!  I live in the boonies.  This was actually the PO in the small town south of me.  We do a mail drop there about once a week, on the way to go hiking with the dogs. 

I was actually very thankful b/c it was a Father's Day gift going to an APO address and needed every day it could get to hopefully make it on time.

Everyone who works at the small satellite post office branch down the street from me is actually very nice too...the only problem is that none of them like to work. 

Typical morning in my post office:

9 AM doors open (unless someone forgot the key)
9:15 1 of the 4 window workers appears at the window...the other 3 workers are in the back drinking their coffee (there are 4 windows)
9:30 Window worker #1 goes on coffee break and worker #2 appears and spends the next 10 minutes setting up their window
10:00 3 of the 4 workers have now made it to their windows

I forgot:

9 AM-10 AM:  If you make a $4 purchase and hand the clerk a $20 you can expect to hear "Do you have anything smaller? I don't have enough change yet.  You'll have to wait until more people pay with cash and I get some change"

Sounds like the post office in Guam that I used to frequent. They had an old facility that was totally renovated. When the new one finally opened it had 12 stations. On the first day, people were lined up around the block to get in. When I finally got inside I saw that there was only one station being manned, just like at the old post office it had replaced.

I did meet one of my wives-to-be there, though. She was selling hotdogs outside from a cart, and was wearing shortshorts. The rest was history, as they say.    Ancient history now.

I have a great relationship with my carriers and
