eBay and Kaboodle team up to offer new features for collectibles traders

Auction giant eBay and start-up Kaboodle are launching a Web site that will give collectors of everything from vintage cookie jars to fashion sunglasses a place to showcase their prized collections and swap information with others, executives said Friday.

The new site, MyCollectibles, is designed to enable people who buy and sell items on eBay to easily create online collections with photos and other information about their goods. Visitors to the site can search for specific items or browse items in different categories, rate the collections and comment on them...

MyCollectibles is a new destination that lets you display your favorite collection with others, provided by Kaboodle, a leading online service for collecting, organizing and sharing information. Whether you collect Swavorski crystal, Air Jordan shoes, or anything in between, now you can import your items from eBay, or upload your images and descriptions of your collection from your computer. Other members can view your collection, review and comment on the items, and talk with you through a message board.

Collector's Corner
Collector's Corner is a central hub for every collector to interact, learn and discover what's happening in the world of collecting. Provided by Mpire, a third-party tools and services provider, Collector's Corner displays sales trends and pop culture comparisons on hot topics, such as the average sale price of items related to NBA basketball stars. Plus, you'll find interesting collecting-related content and links to just about every collecting resource around eBay.
