ShopWiki Introduces Patent Pending 'Search by Color' Tool

The most recent addition to ShopWiki's search page is the patent-pending Search by Color tool. Search by Color isolates a product's color through image analysis. In order to extract color from a product's image, ShopWiki's Search by Color technology uses a combination of advanced algorithms that adjust to different product types. While other color search tools automatically select an image's most prevalent color, regardless of content, ShopWiki converges on the desired product, disregarding people, backgrounds and other irrelevant portions of the image. In this way, the ShopWiki tool can identify a shirt's color and not the skin or hair tone of the model wearing it or the multiple hues of the surrounding scene.
Why is this so important?

Search by Color allows you to shop how you think. It's rare that someone begins searching for a love seat  without a color in mind.
