If you want to rig an election, anything is possible with the Diebold TS
Quote:This may be the worst security flaw we have seen in touch screen voting machines, says Open Voting Foundation president, Alan Dechert. Upon examining the inner workings of one of the most popular paperless touch screen voting machines used in public elections in the United States, it has been determined that with the flip of a single switch inside, the machine can behave in a completely different manner compared to the tested and certified version. full article: http://openvotingfoundation.org/ |

Does it really matter if the voting machines can be manipulated since the outcome of many elections is now decided by who has the biggest bank account?. New York City's mayor is a good example of someone who basically bought himself an election solely because he was able to spend 20X more than everyone else.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

I hope everyone likes the government we have now, because they aren't going anywhere. Electronic voting machines are the death knell of any remaining semblance of democracy. A corrupt politician's dream. :'( Kim

Please, please, please, Vote Gods, I beseech you. Don't let it be true here in MI. If Dickwad DeVos' millions buy him this election, we are in even more trouble than we are in now. The last Repug governor left us with a mess that no one could clean up in 5 years. What this turkey could do scares the hell out of me. |

RJK Jr.: Will the Next Election Be Hacked?
A related article written by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Will the Next Election Be Hacked?"
Quote:The debacle of the 2000 presidential election made it all too apparent to most Americans that our electoral system is broken. And private-sector entrepreneurs were quick to offer a fix: Touch-screen voting machines, promised the industry and its lobbyists, would make voting as easy and reliable as withdrawing cash from an ATM. Congress, always ready with funds for needy industries, swiftly authorized $3.9 billion to upgrade the nation's election systems - with much of the money devoted to installing electronic voting machines in each of America's 180,000 precincts. But as midterm elections approach this November, electronic voting machines are making things worse instead of better. Studies have demonstrated that hackers can easily rig the technology to fix an election - and across the country this year, faulty equipment and lax security have repeatedly undermined election primaries... full article: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/sto...e_hacked/1 |

Is there anyone out there even worth voting for anymore? Everything's a 30 second soundbite. |

Ironically enough, under laws that Foley helped write, soliciting sex from a minor online is a federal crime.
