ZenCart: Templates and Customizaton
To switch from one installed Zen template to another:
1. Tools >Template Selection 2. after changing templates you must also go to Tools > Layout Boxes Controller and reset your sideboxes. From the layout boxes menu you can also turn sideboxes on or off, and rearrange their order. --------------- Purchasing templates: if you're using Zen 1.30x the template you buy must be made for that version. Templates made for version 1.26, 1.27, etc. probably won't work with your version. www.dezinacart.com and www.algozone.com both sell 1.3 compatible templates. Search google or Yahoo for 'zencart (or zen cart) 1.30 templates' and you'll find more sellers. TemplateMonster templates currently won't work with 1.3. ----------- Customizing templates and other pages: You can customize the text on some pages (returns, top of front page, terms and conditions, etc) by going to the Tools > Define Pages Editor and using the built-in WYSIWYG editor. You can add additional pages (links page, FAQs, etc) to your site by using the Tools > EZ-Pages menu Customizing templates: see the Customizing the Look of Your Shop section on the Zen site. Start with these 2 sticky topics: Things every New Zenner needs to know, Second step in setting up your cart - templates. |

Re: ZenCart: Templates and Customizaton
Do you know if there is an affordable way to modify zen cart to be able to make attributes dependent? Such as I have one product that comes in a variety of colors and sizes. I know zen doesn't have this feature.
Are there any other free carts that do have this? Just curious. |

It has to be done in Javascript. Ask for a quote here. The prices start at $60.

I could probably live without it for now, but down the road it will be an absolute necessity. So are any of the TT admins available for hire to customize my site? Will you take a payment plan? |

Re: ZenCart: Templates and Customizaton
Ok, I finally have had a chance to go through the admin tabs for Zen, and decided to get daring and add the Google Checkout.
The only issue is I can't seem to find the files mentioned in the docs that need to be modified by hand since the site has a bunch of mods already installed.. Any Ideas.. |

Re: ZenCart: Templates and Customizaton
Did you download the Checkout mod from the Zen site or from Google Code? (the latest version of the mod is on Google Code and the install procedure is slightly different)
