thentavius - I hate to say it, but the ones left on the stores board are probably beyond hope. It was clear with the advent of Express that eBay Stores were an abandoned concept . Kim [/quote] I have to agree w that. I know a lot of you had a Store. I never did. I couldn't get past the part of. I pay ebay more than a website costs in a monthly subscription fee. They get FVFs on all my sales, they restrain my ability to advertise my site and I need to run auctions too? To get traffic to my store? Sorry guys I just wasn't buying IT. Thank god. I never bought into that list list list a bunch of stuff every week either. I think at one time my top listings would be maybe 8 -10 items a week? (Always was working to DRIVE traffic to my site off feebay) Now ebay is lucky to see me list two or three items in one to two weeks. Imagine what the true financial impact on eBay would be, if hundreds of thousands were doing the same? Imagine many may have been doing this for a while. Now understand why so many upfront fees where introduced a few years back and understand all the changes they keep making. They are desparate IMO and been playing a big shell game w the numbers for quit some time now. The only way to try and keep the $$$ even with the BS they tout every quarter is to keep raising the fees on a shrinking core and keep trying NEW stuff to TRY and regain those shrinking core fees (bottom line $$$ figures).

Re: OK - I got a bit giddy on the ebay Stores Board
stardust, you are taking this way too far.
As far as my error is concerned, this is what I have to say: 1. I was trying to make light of it, even though it annoys me. 2. You have admitted to me that you enjoy smiting, and are heavy on the smite button. 3. If it wasn't you, I apologize. For what, I am not really sure, since as I said, I was trying to take it in the spirit of "fun", which IS what YOU called it. Quote:Nor do your flippant attempts at intimidation impress me. Well, intimidating is one thing I have not been called. But hey, I am blonde and dim-witted, so maybe that is intimidating? Personally, Star, I think you have lost your sense of humor. |

Quote:Personally, Star, I think you have lost your sense of humor. Not in the least bit, Belle. Quote:2. You have admitted to me that you enjoy smiting, and are heavy on the smite button.*Smiting is just plain FUN* was my quote to you in a personal message, as per various situations that we discussed that do not belong out in the open on this forum. I am NOT heavy on the smite button, so that's another falsehood. Quote:1. I was trying to make light of it, even though it annoys me.Really? Then why are you so quick on the trigger finger with others? And considering some of your past postings, I would expect you to be smited by Vital, as well as possibly by others on this forum who will read those postings. According to TT records, Vital has not been on this forum since early yesterday afternoon. So, you have also falsely accused HER of *smiting* you. If your popularity numbers tend to go down at times, Belle, you can make of this whatever you will. I hope we're done with this conversation. |

Hey I got the water hose running in a little pit outside ladies.
It's filling up quick and it's a beautiful day. So you two dawn your bikinis come on over and we will have us an old fashioned mud wrestling match. Hell I'll supply all the food and drink, music even put together a few quick sponsors for you two. Just give me an hour to draw a crowd and pick up some more cheap refreshments. This is something the good ole boys (and girls) would love to see on a great and beautiful Saturday afternoon up here in the mountains. Trust me. They will even stop watching the collage football games and the races for this.

Re: OK - I got a bit giddy on the ebay Stores Board
Quote:The dude has three items up. Hey he has a WP store with 35 items and 4 of them have bids. If those 4 items sell he'll gross $8.50 and be able to pay for an eBay China store! If I had 3 items listed on eBay.com worth a total of $18 I think I'd skip the store for now. I'd also skip the WP store because the time needed to manually list 35 items is worth more than $8.50 (before fees, inventory cost, bla bla bla) to me. Quote: It was clear with the advent of Express that eBay Stores were an abandoned concept If it wasn't clear then it should have been clear after eBay announced its holiday marketing plans this week and didn't mention stores. There's always the chance though that stores could make a comeback in the ever changing eBay business plan...2 years ago Half was slated for death and now its back (too bad Half's fr_k'n buyers all left 2 years ago.)
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

Re: OK - I got a bit giddy on the ebay Stores Board
Quote:I hope we're done with this conversation. Clearly we're not---your choice, Star. Quote: *Smiting is just plain FUN* was my quote to you in a personal message, as per various situations that we discussed that do not belong out in the open on this forum. Yes, and you took what I said today too seriously. Quote:Really? Then why are you so quick on the trigger finger with others? I'm not. Only with you and Vital when you have smited me. Childish game, really. Quote:And considering some of your past postings, I would expect you to be smited by Vital WHy, is she ashamed of being a bigot? Quote:I am NOT heavy on the smite button, so that's another falsehood. Hmmmmmm.........you said you were on the word assoc. thread. Now, Star, I may make errors as I tend to react too quickly to think some things through--------but I do NOT lie and for you to say so on a public board is wrong and it is a lie. When I do make errors, I admit it, apologize or explain and then I move on. Unlike a couple of others. And popularity? You are so sadly mistaken. I could care less about being "popular"---did that in high school, very boring to be good. I say what I say either because I believe it. Nothing hidden here---that is not me. I have spent my whole life being disliked by one person or another because I do speak my mind and I am blonde and whatever. I learned long ago not to let it hurt too much. So star, think what you like. But if you accuse me falsely, I will respond. |
