Oh you two are just a frickin riot. Tongue1

Size varies---16x20 being my most typical

Rabbett is necessary for stretched canvases

heavy paint (oil)

wide--at least 3"

Size DOES matter. Happy001

Re: Art and Artists
Okay, so you're looking for *frames* in general.  Not for *a* particular painting.  makes it easier if you're buying for stock.

Right now we're just not getting into the storage garages to search for frames.  I will look in the semi and our house garage to see what we might have readily available.

SEE???  THIS IS WHY I NEED TO GET A FRIGGIN WEB SITE UP FOR THE 7000+ PICTURE FRAMES WE HAVE STASHED AWAY!!!!!  >Sad

Ouch that must hurt!  :blinkie:  Do you date elephants???

Fun facts: Most Marsupials have two-headed forked socks.   Gorillas erect socks are an itsy bitsy 4cm . Ducks and geese have socks.  Chickens don't.  The Common Shrew has the smallest socks - 4mm.  The Blue Whale's is the largest - over 2m

Re: Art and Artists
Bell when your talking frames.. do you mean just the frame to attach the canvas too?
(Where you would stretch the canvas over it and staple it to the back side)
Not the finished ones.

Or are you talking the fluff ones, that cover the front like mats do for drawings and stuff?
.

That's interesting...........  Smile

Water-gilded 3"-wide, handcarved frames to stretch your canvas on.  May I suggest linen?  8)

Okay.  I've had my entertainment for the day...  ;D

xp,

The "fluff" ones, you know, those fluffy frames that help to sell the ptg??? Tongue1

I have stretcher bars---buy them in bulk along with ginormous rolls of primed linen canvas.
