I wasn't pointing fingers or trying to force my personal views onto anyone else.  REALLY.  It is just something I try to live up to for myself.

I learned a lesson when I stood up for Vital when I thought Mr. O was going for the throat.  PLEASE don't let the above example re-open THAT can of worms.  Smile

I think most of us do. I don't go after people that I feel are not total a$$holes. But while Marty may not totally fit that term, he comes damn close if you consider the financial harm he has no doubt done to many small businesses. And, I really, really HATE wishy-washy!

As for Vital and Mr. O, I agree. I learned a lesson in that incident also, particularly as I wound up with my defense shoved back down my throat by Vital herself. Big Grin

Oh, I'm DEFINITELY one of those also.  I just TRY not to be one in public.   Big Grin

I commented on basically the same thing FiberGuy posted about--Marty's statement "I raise this issue because eBay is fun at times, its engaging and heck many people would be happy to make some friends and break even."

A goal of making friends and breaking even... :Smile :Smile :Smile

Nothing wrong with hobby sellers... just hobby sellers that don't mind losing money regularly and continue to blindly do so... all the while maintaining that ebay is such a hunky-dory place!  Big Grin

I wasn't referring to all hobby sellers.

The sellers I was referring to are people like Voices member/Cheerleader Extraordinaire Tom who seem to use eBay primarily for entertainment and selling for them is just a part of that "fun" entertainment package that eBay is so gracious to provide--making money isn't their primary goal or even necessary in order for them to remain on eBay. As long as eBay gives them "fun" they have no complaints. Weeee a new toy, Matchups!!!!

I didn't think anyone was pointing the finger at me.  I was just rambling...

As for Tom, I think one reason he posts so much is because of this:
