And, I can't wait. I've been working on removing all the Ebay references from my current listings so I can try to use a csv file (never tried but heard I can use one) to upload them to my Presto Store.

Did anyone take that last survey Ebay sent out? I understand there were two versions.

The one I got referenced what I'm doing outside of Ebay to drive customers to my Ebay store (myspace, blogs, click ads, etc).

I said none to them but did add a comment in the section allowed that if I were going to do any of the above it would be to send customers to my own site. That I was under the impression that getting me customers was what I was paying Ebay several hundred dollars a month for.

The entire survey was a joke.

I'm not sure what my better half does with the surveys, but she usually has some degree of "fun" with them. 8)

We closed our store not long after Stardust did... I think in June. No, we didn't see the writing on the wall as far as any future fee increases, but it just wasn't profitable any longer. I will admit that while store items were in general search, our ebay store sales spiked nicely. But when they were removed from search, our store sales sunk to much lower levels than they've ever been. The difference was dramatic, making our decision to close shop much easier.

The one thing I will say as far as "writing on the wall", was ebay's persistent wishy-washy handling of store sellers. It became more obvious every day that ebay just wasn't sure how to deal with store sellers. It was a real shame, because, IMO, auctions have been in the death ralls since 2001... a gradual decay of "bidder interest". People don't want to BID... they want to find something at a fair price and BUY. Medved's charts have been proving that for years with BIN's outpacing auction sell-throughs consistently, even though I do believe the Medved stats are skewed. Ebay wants to "fix" that, but online auctions, in general, are a machine that can't be fixed... the replacement parts just don't exist.
