I just don't "get" why they are so willing to invest all that time and energy on these constant workarounds, bits of gossip, hints from on high, etc. And in this case, should Marty's information or intuition be wrong, they will be wasting money as well. It's just plain crazy.

The amount of time sellers on eBay are forced to waste on workarounds and playing games hoping something will work is realllly amazing.  When I first started selling on eBay none of that crap was necessary (and it's never been necessary on my websites or Overstock/Amazon Smile )
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"

"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site.
best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011

Hear, hear!

It would be much less time consuming to simply accept the fact that:

EBAY

BUYERS

ARE

LEAVING

EBAY

When I see a post from Marty even contemplating or entertaining the idea that there are fewer buyers on ebay, I'll know the end is near....  Instead, sellers get tricks and excuses.

Cheers

I tried to take as many of my 27,000 eBay buyers with me as I could when I left.  Smile
