They've recruited 74 current and ex PeSA members in the 10 days since their formation.  They're reportedly talking to sponsors too.

PeSA's current membership is 986.

PESA Controversy: Group of Top eBay Sellers Splint

If you've been following the PESA (Professional eBay Sellers Alliance) controversy, you probably know there have been accusations of censorship on the PESA discussion group. In addition to charges of locked threads, some members were removed from the organization.

The whole situation is disturbing, and I don't understand why the PESA leadership is letting things fester. The longer it takes for them to publish financials and put a system of accountability and transparency in place, the more the group's long-term sustainability is in jeopardy, in my opinion.

Steve Grossberg started a discussion group on eBay Groups, and after he was suspended from PESA, he renamed it the Internet Merchants Association. Can two organizations of top eBay sellers survive? Lots of questions, not many answers.

Why not two, three, seventeen or a hundred?  Ebay is going to do what they think is best for ebay, not any fractioned seller group.  Only an ebay seller group with enough members to financially threaten ebay's bottom line will ever gain their full attention.  If these sellers were serious about having significant influence on ebay's decision-making process, they would ALL have web sites.  Ebay knows that buyers are leaving... they won't admit it, but they know.

I personally think it's a lost cause... bidding is out, buying is in... and ebay has forsaken it's stores, which (IMO) was the ONLY viable future ebay had in this continuously evolving market.
