Re: Wal-Mart Online Wish List Pisses Off Parents who scream SPAMMER
Wal Mart's foray into social networking and Web 2.0 type sites isn't going very well.  Here's another article from 3 weeks ago:

Quote:Wal-Mart: Blazing the Trail to Distrust
Wal-Mart's social media initiatives have been the talk of the blogosphere for months, and not in a good way. For those of you planning social media strategies for your companies and clients, you might look to Wal-Mart for a number of clear examples of what not to do.

Re: Wal-Mart Online Wish List Pisses Off Parents
Quote:Wal-Mart's latest PR fiasco involves a blog called "Wal-Marting Across America," which was served up to the public as a sort of chronicle of the adventures of two people who were traveling the country in an RV, spending each night parked in a different Wal-Mart parking lot.

I'll bet the FakeBlog didn't mention the fact that many Walmart parking lots are now off-limits to overnighters in RVs. What assholes.  Tongue2

This is just like the phony commercials that they do around the holidays showing all Walmart's good works. Unfortunately, the good works that they are bragging about are frequently carried out by employeees, NOT Walmart who only takes the credit.
