Great Low-Cost GraphicsTools

We checked out a sampling of tools that ranged from graphical one-trick ponies to full-featured application suites that compare favorably with big-ticket graphics superstars. The best news: Most of these programs have a free trial period, nothing listed here costs more than $80 to register, and a bunch of them are just plain free.

I have been looking for a simple program that detects the color/hex values in images etc.. I normally use Photoshop to do this, but, it is a PITA to use for this particular function.

In this article, they recommend a program titled "Color Detector". I downloaded it and started playing with it. Wow. It works,   is extremely simple to use and I    it. Bonus:it is FREE!

What does it do? It will give you the color # for anything that your mouse lands on, be it an image file, a website, etc.. Below is a screenshot of it in action on the TT home page.



A definite    to this well-designed and useful tool!!
