One of the greatest cult film stars of all time--Divine (Glen Milstead) broke boundaries and shared a creative, artistic spirit with all who knew or worked with him. One of his most famous movies--Pink Flamingos (John Waters) stands out today as a defining moment in art film history.

Divine was well-known for playing "leading ladies" by delivering unfaltering "drag." He headlined such quirky greats as Hairspray and Polyester and he's remembered by movie makers and actors as a cheerful soul with deep respect for the arts.

This unique oil pastel painting captures Divine in a legendary moment. The bright red ballgown, dry fall foliage, and Divine's campy-sinister makeup are expertly preserved; but with an expressive edge that makes this piece its own testament.
