For this one, I combined Chinese brush painting techniques with hand-ground ink and oil pastel paint, for a textured, mixed media look.

A lone sparrow perches on a plum tree branch and watches the impossibly blue sky. A flurry of megenta blooms spread out before the bird.

Painting is done on heavily textured archival watercolor paper. I liked the way the texture showed through the oil pastel.

9" x 12"
Sold unmounted, so you can choose your own favorite frame! If you'd like me to frame it for you, we can work that out, too (for the cost of the frame).
