The front of each card is very glossy.

Contrasty, black & white hard line design work makes Thentavius the elf stark and gritty. He's sarcastic, witty, snarky, and totally in the buff on this high gloss METAL ACEO card.

The original work was done in colored pencil on white watercolor paper. I have taken the original piece into Illustrator and worked with it to create the stark, black and white design you see here. The original portrait was done in 1997. The new sublimated version is from 2007.

The artwork has been professionally sublimated to the metal, so it is brilliant, glossy, and permanent.

About the Metal Print

Dye sublimation is a specialty process that uses unique, dye-based inks. The inks are actually converted from a solid pigment to a gas (which permeates the material), without passing through a liquid form. It's a permanent bond, which produces brilliant color and fantastic detail.

Sublimation is done using these specialty inks, along with high heat and pressure. The artwork can even be wiped clean if it ever gets dirty (it is water resistant).

The artwork has been sublimated to one side of a brushed aluminum plaque (2 1/2" x 3 1/2").
