Auctionbytes on the policy change:
Quote: As an update to the story, eBay did get back to us on the question about listings that been held for review prior to this week's policy change that had not received top exposure on Newly Listed search results. I asked whether eBay would provide any recompense for sellers of those items for getting less exposure than they normally would have. eBay spokesperson Nichola Sharpe replied via email: full article: http://blog.auctionbytes.com/cgi-bin/blo...46322.html also: http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y07/m04/i11/s03 |

Quote:"No, eBay does not charge for listing time by the hour or by the day, so we do not refund in this situation. Why are 10 day auctions more expensive than 7 day if that is true? |

Dunno, but my mom called me up to rant about eBay for several hours (she doesn't know how to use message boards).
She has been keeping track of her listings like a psycho for the past two months, and she's determined that a full 20% of all of her listings show up anywhere from 6 to 48 hours after being listed.

Forgot to add that three of her auctions last week never showed up at all, were not sold, could not be found by customers or searches, and were not ended early by eBay. But, she was billed for them and any associated links or auction ID searches didn't pull up anything.

Re: eBay: Some items may not be viewable for several hours after listing...
My e-mail notices that I sold something come about 3-4 DAYS after the fact. The ASQ come about a day late. I guess this is to force me to the message control center???
My husband said they have messed up eBay motors (again) they removed a category from the search, but force you to use it when listing so you can't find the stuff. Kim |
