plunderhere.eu WHOIS Wrote:phone +44 1752 707 I would say to call him but the phone number listed on the Plunderhere.eu WHOIS is missing several digits...1752 is the dialing code for Plymouth edit: Listing count padder WeBidz has arrived at PSU to defend Marktard. FYI, this is the same WeBidz that 2 years ago managed to manipulate their Alexa rank up to 20,000 by putting a message on their home page urgiing their members to download the Alexa toolbar to help boost the site's rank. site owner who engages in listing count padding and Alexa rank manipulation and doesn't even have a privacy policy Wrote:I spoke with Mark a couple days ago, and he was getting ready to do a server transfer, as they had just aquired new servers. I can pretty much guarantee you that they have not been hacked. He was most likely planning on transferring and getting everything running on the new server, before another billing cycle occurred for the current host. http://www.powersellersunite.com/about19...tml#170266 edit: nothing like a blank About Us page to instill confidence in users. I would provide a link to WeBidz's privacy policy but they don't appear to have one. The United Best network picked some real winners in the ethics department: WeBidz, Plunderhere, AuctionQuests... (PH and AQ were longtime members until being removed recently). site owner with no privacy policy Wrote:Possibly he has everything transferred now, and it is waiting for DNS propogation? A simple DNS lookup could have saved him the trouble of posting that statement. There was no DNS change to propogate dumbass. Quote:DNS Traversal for plunderhere.com.

In other Plunderhere news...the site's forum contained several virus infested porn pictures. If you visited Plunderhere's forum recently you should definitely run a virus scan.
editing slightly: My bet is AQ Ray retaliated for Plunderhere suspending Mo and he justified suspending PH's hosting account by saying PH violated Ray Hosting's TOS by hosting virus infected porn pictures on its forum which put other sites on the server at risk so the site had to be shut down to protect the integrity of the server/network.

The United Best network picked some real winners in the ethics department: WeBidz, Plunderhere, AuctionQuests... (PH and AQ were longtime members until being removed recently).
Not that I need to defend my actions for inviting AQ & PH but it was a preference on my part. Ray did out a few other site owners on PSU. Ulterior motives?? Probably. But I liked his ballsy attitude. PH & AQ were not part of UB for very long. The original members were LowBid, WeBidz, Biddersnsellers & DealGates. LowBid closed. Luc (DealGates) is presently involved in redesign of DG and may (or may not) at some point return to UB. PH & AQ were ONLY invited AFTER Mo took over the helm at PH. It was a short lived association. (And if you noticed...PH wasn't invited prior to this because of the connection between HB & PH.) I've had several requests from site owners to be included in the UB network. Most are so new that they have less than 100 listings. Longevity is one of the factors that I look at. Another one is the ability of the site owners to stay out of Crap Fests. But here is where it counts with UB...no one...absolutely no one is paying a thing to be a member, to advertise, to link to, etc. The only stipulation is that they list at one of the core sites. If they don't then they have to link back to UB or pay $5.00 per month for space. So far no one has had to pay. As for Ray retaliating...doubtful. Mark had a history of late payments....contrary to what has been published elsewhere. |
