Re: PlunderHere and AlsoShop: A Web of Privacy Violations, Backstabbing, and Deceit
The whole flippin' thing is a scam. I get spam emails on two email accounts. The one I registered at Wagglepop, and one I registered at Plunderhere. That's the only two accounts where I get more than the occasional spam message, and I get hundreds a week at both.
I wonder why the officers of the boinktard Palgold company aren't rolling David's brother out the door after 10 or so unexplained lengthy downtimes. Maybe it's because there really isn't any connection and Mark flipped through the Malaysian lawbooks and found out he can impersonate anyone he wants? Maybe David found out he could use the LLC through Mark in Malaysia, scam folks, and let Mark who lives in Malaysia (no extradition) take the blame. Malaysia (Where Mark lives) has a very poor cyberspace security network, but they do catch up in short time. The trouble is, they don't really do much because they are so overwhelmed with international trade issues to notice. By the way, did I mention that Mark lives in a flippin' 3rd world SE Asia country where no one in the U.S. or U.K. can touch him legally? And the plunderers trusted him, forgave him many times, and now they are mad for him abandoning them... Sounds like their first instincts were right. This is why I firmly believe anyone who puts their faith solely on little auction sites are doomed to fail just like those sites. If you want to be on these sites for the community, it's fine to join. Research the owner, see their history and go for it. But only do so once you establish yourself with your own site, and only do it with someone you can really trust. Get your own business in your own control, then go join them for the "community" aspects of selling when you just get tired of looking at your site all day. You can even make a few extra sales with a few forum posts about your products. But Wagglers and Plunderers can tell you, don't use them for any long term plans. That's what your own website is for, and if you enjoy chatting, do that one as a hobby. Or, if you seriously must use auctions to sell, do your own thing like Bargainland or Emovieposter who both get more real traffic (not link exchanges) to their auction sitesmostly by themselves than PH and WP did combined. Bargainland: http://siteanalytics.compete.com/bidtopia.com Emovieposter: http://siteanalytics.compete.com/emovieposter.com Or, you can use Overstock with over 400 thousand visitors a month. All kinds of options for serious sellers. Don't stop with the first Probid site you see... you can do better.
