Re: PlunderHere and AlsoShop: A Web of Privacy Violations, Backstabbing, and Deceit
I don't know too many people in the rinky dink world who would waste such valuable signature characters on a site they don't own...

Re: PlunderHere and AlsoShop: A Web of Privacy Violations, Backstabbing, and Deceit
S Ray's listing padding account is having some problems. 2 buyers now had problems with the shipping costs being higher than he originally said, yet Mo's skillet hasn't been wielded yet? Oh, that's right, you can't smack the boss.
http://www.alsoshop.com/user_reputation.php?user_id=222 Quote:Transaction not completed. Auction showed one shipping price which for multiple purchases would be 15.00 media mail for 5 books. Then when invoice was received it showed 25.00 for media mail shipping for 5 books. So I canceled transaction. Quote:charged 7.50 for mailing two books paid 2.58 Negative removed due to seller's terms being posted. Rinky Dink rule #1 When using Wagglepop-like phantom listing padding accounts, you must always run it like it is real as not to draw too much attention. Rinky Dink rule #2 When using AQ-like listing padding accounts, you must always be sure to delete it from the site that you used to own before using it on the site you now own. http://www.auctionquests.com/user_reputa..._id=102763

Re: PlunderHere and AlsoShop: A Web of Privacy Violations, Backstabbing, and Deceit
Tend to one, they don't even have the books they list. That would be my bet. Maybe she should add some comment in the item detail that it's not a "for real" listing and is just to pad the numbers.
Well, the more negs bookz gets the less likely others will make purchases, so maybe she should leave them. Wow, that ASS site is full of sht.....LOL Yes, I know I will regret that one day |

Quote: phantom listing padding accounts I really hope that is a phantom listing account and that there isn't actually a real bookseller who would be dumb enough to list at ASs and AQ while ignoring Amazon, Alibris, Abe, Biblio, A1Books, Half, Buy, etc. Media is one of the few categories where very viable off-eBay alternative venues have existed for years that a seller can use to completely replace, or even surpass, their eBay income.

Re: PlunderHere and AlsoShop: A Web of Privacy Violations, Backstabbing, and Deceit
Plunderhere hit sellers with a surprise fee hike.
http://www.plunderhere.com/forums/showth...hp?t=14952 The new fee structure: Quote:From 0.01 USD To 0.99 USD 0.05 USD The average sales price on the site is well under $4 so the average sale will result in the seller paying a higher FVF % than they would at eBay or Amazon Nisan Bidboink Wrote:maybe we need to refresh on what it takes to have an ebay store...we aren't asking for 3-10 cent insertion fees and 12% FVF's here.... Fees on the sale of gently soiled children's clothing using the eBay figures Nisan quoted: $1 sale: eBay $0.15-$0.22 PH $0.50 $2 sale: eBay $0.27-$0.34 PH $0.50 $3 sale: eBay $0.39-$0.46 PH $0.50 The site claims to have announced the fee hike on June 29th seller Wrote:When did this new fee structure start? I do not recall getting notice of it. PH Wrote:An annoucement was posted within the members area in June 29th. seller Wrote:6/29 - Phone Verification PH Wrote:Yes, thats the one. : In other Plunderhere news....0 items listed on Google Base/Product Search

Quote:Bidtopia 2,700 AUCTION (not fixed price) itemsYou mean that the techy guru of aSs is wrong? Quote:1. A buy it now price. Googlebase requires all items that are submitted to have a 'fixed price' type. A buy it now option does qualify as a 'fixed price' type, so make sure yours has one. Quote: His current scam ASs is one of the few Pro Bid sites on Google Product Search. Alsoshop has 21,000 items on Base and probably 15,000 violations of the Base TOS for falsely stating the condition of "gently used" and "used: good" items as "new" in their feed. |

The trademark on the word Etsy covers online auction services and practically every other aspect of ecommerce from use on sites with 3rd party sellers to use on sites offering feedback systems.. Quote: ETSY Etsy also has 2 other registered trademarks on the word 'Etsy" - all of them apply to ecommerce sites like PH and ASs.
