Bring up the term "corporate blogging" in a group of technology workers, and there's bound to be a few snickers as images are conjured of lame and infrequent executive-level blogs or marketing campaigns disguised as blogs.

But blogging can be used in ways that serve traditional business needs. In fact, the best blogging applications can handle many of the tasks performed with portal, content management, and collaboration and discussion systems.

..WordPress' management is very good—we found that pretty much anything can be done from this interface, even basic layout customizations. The initial management screen, almost portallike in its design, is a useful dashboard that shows a list of recent posts and comments, as well as anything requiring the user's immediate attention..

I think that Blogspot is nicer software. I used Wordpress to add to the Doors2Stores blog and Blogspot offered more options. LIKE COLOR. Here is my blog using blogspot:

The main reason for linking is to give you backlinks to your blog and improve its search engine ranking.

Blogspot offered more options

Blogspot probably has more features than the default install of WordPress, but there are many add-ons available for WordPress that can give it many more features than blogspot.  It looks like the doors2stores blog is just using the default install.

One of these days I'll have to actually read about what doors2stores offers...I kind of skipped all the threads/announcements about it.  :-[

My personal preference. http://blogs.allmusicsearch.com/allmusicblogs. I have a PR3 and it has lots of great features.

I also use Blogspot for another of my blogs and I have no PR yet with that one.
