Re: Why Niche Social Media Outlets are Better Than Digg
Good article, good article (said only because we just started converting some of our parked domains into niche social media sites as a way to increase their value.

Using Niche Social Media Sites to Your Advantage
A related article:
Quote:Test the waters. It's important to test the waters early and see what type of return you will get from a niche social network. Once you have a good piece of content ready to go, submit it and promote it (for help in building up your network check this previous article). Be sure to define your success metrics ahead of time and see how the results stack up to them. Are you looking for a) traffic b) links c) RSS subscribers d) buyers? Determine this ahead of time and then measure the results at specific times (personally, I prefer to measure them at the following times after something has hit the homepage: 1) 24 hours 2) 1 week 3) 1 month). full article: http://searchengineland.com/071002-114659.php |

Quote:It is asking a lot of a person to post to a site which doesn't allow smilies!!! At least it allows allows avatars unlike some of our forums :imptongue: (like GoSearchFor where avatars are turned off because the site has secure registration/login and the avatars were breaking the lock...). Quote:A targeted niche social media www.sphinn.com is the only niche site I regularly read...it's owned by the same people as searchengineland (and uses the same software as funny.ro)
