I have quite the same experience as the man in Thailand. Few months ago my hard drive was "invaded" by ants taking away its foamy cover and making it as food. By the time I found those little creatures it was too late for me as I turned on the system and all I got was a hard drive error. It was such disappointing especially when you learn you haven't backup your data Well at least I didn't spray it with insect repellent
