Anyone care to ask the next set of questions? Big Grin
New set of questions: :turkey1:

1. What is your favorite poem?
2.  Do you enjoy shopping--not online, but off. Where? Malls, business districts, etc.?
3. What is your favorite Ethnic food?
4. Which US city is your favorite?
5. Why?
1. What is your favorite poem?

Probably a toss-up between
Walt Whitman's - "Songs of Myself"
Allen Ginsburg's Kaddish
Lao Tzu's "Tao Teh Ching"
Ezra Pound's "In a Station of the Metro"
Walt Whitman's "On Crossing Brooklyn Ferry"

Wait-- four is an unlucky number (edited to add: an it's even unluckier to be bad at mathematics)

Add
James Merrill's "the Changing Light at Sandover."

2.  Do you enjoy shopping--not online, but off. Where? Malls, business districts, etc.?
I prefer to shop online. I can't stand all the rude people. Although I used to enjoy thrift stores.

3. What is your favorite Ethnic food?
Ethnic meaning outside my own ethnicity? LOL. How about Chicken Tikka or Chicken Tikka Masala (Indian).

4. Which US city is your favorite?
I don't have one.

5. Why?
There's something good and bad about most places.

Thought I'd share the Ezra Pound poem, since it's so short. As reference, the Metro being the train/subway station:

Quote:In a Station of the Metro

The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.

1. What is your favorite poem?-Yesterday I Cried by Iyanla Vanzant
2.  Do you enjoy shopping--not online, but off. Where? Malls, business districts, etc.?I love the end of the year clearance sales at the mall, Linens and Things, Tuesday Mornings, and vintage clothes shopping at local thrift stores
3. What is your favorite Ethnic food?New Mexican cuisine, with loads of green and red chile
4. Which US city is your favorite?Colorado Springs
5. Why?Beautiful city, just the right size, mountains, Pikes Peak
[/quote]

1. What is your favorite poem?
XXIII (“Going to him!") by Emily Dickinson

2.  Do you enjoy shopping--not online, but off. Where? Malls, business districts, etc.?    I love to shop in business/shopping districts. I enjoy the cafes and individual non-cookie cutter shops. I especially enjoy it during the holidays when snow is falling and all the lights are on, etc.

3. What is your favorite Ethnic food?

Cantonese

4. Which US city is your favorite?
That's a tough one. It's a toss-up between Boston, DC, San Francisco and New Orleans.

5. Why?
I love Boston for Newbury St., lobster, and the nearby Cape.
I love DC for it's weather, diversity, shopping, Georgetown, museums and the great metro system. It is also very close to the Shenandoah Mtns, which is a beautiful area.
I love San Francisco for it's weather, it's beauty and restaurants.
I love New Orleans for it's sense of fun, the jazz clubs, the antique shops and beignet.
