Billing Revolution Launches Single-Click M-Commerce Checkout System

M-commerce technology vendor Billing Revolution has introduced a system that enables retailers to offer single-click purchasing via mobile phones on m-commerce sites and applications as well as through text messages. The new single-click system securely stores default payment, billing and shipping information and does not require a user name or password, helping create a significantly quicker checkout process, which many m-commerce experts say is a key to success in the burgeoning mobile channel.

After a retailer implements the system—linked to payment processor and payment security vendor Authorize.net—on its m-commerce site, the credit card payment option in its checkout process becomes Billing Revolution’s single-click checkout. A retailer also can use the system in text message marketing campaigns or text message in-store promotions; a mobile consumer who sends a text message to the short code number in a marketing text message or on an advertisement receives a reply text message containing a hyperlink to a single-click checkout page for the advertised product...
