So many seem to need to believe what makes them feel better that they'll accept statements without requiring substantiation. The advantage that lying site owners have over members is that most sellers don't know how to determine the traffic and quality of traffic that a site gets. Most sellers have little to no experience with SEO so lies and phony counters fool a lot of 'em. So they're fooled to some degree by their ignorance and choose to take statements that make them feel good at face value. Because the truth doesn't make them feel good they wouldn't believe it if it bit them in the arse. |
