Re: Who is The SSL Certification Leader?
Quote:Bragging rights in the SSL certification market are still a subject of dispute. Yawn, this is about as exciting as VeriSign's former obsession with beating Thawte (which it later bought). I prefer GeoTrust SSLs (or even Comodo) over Verisign's overpriced certificates. I also preferred Thawte. Quote:"The SSL market is expanding as new e-commerce sites appear online everyday and as consumers are demanding more security in their online activities," I think every ecommerce site would benefit from getting a SSL certificate...even if they don't technically need one because they use PayPal and don't accept payments directly on the site. Buyers do look for the lock icon in their browsers and are more likely to trust an unknown ecommerce site if they see one. Think of buying an SSL certificate as the equivalent of getting positive feedback on an auction site...

Re: Who is The SSL Certification Leader?
Thank you, BBH, for that succinct statement of why SSL is important. Can I borrow that quote (with credit to you?)

Re: Who is The SSL Certification Leader?
bbh
Just ran across this topic. Hope someone sees me! Since: September 5, 2006, VeriSign Completes Acquisition of GeoTrust Where would be a good place to find a very reasonable priced SSL? I doubt I will process credit cards myself (I have a b&m merchant account), but would like to provide the "security" of a lock. I remember reading once you knew of something in the $30 range ?!!?, but you didn't name names. Thanks
It is important to realize that each of us has a role in advancing my future.
