Marketing Using Yahoo Local Search Results
Yahoo expanded the search results it shows in local searches. According to an article in ClickZ , businesses can use this as a free way to market to local users and get their attention.

It sounds like it could be a cheap way for restaurants, B&M stores, etc to get people in their doors. I don't think it will help people like me though :'(
