Re: eBay! Raises! Fees! Sellers! Get! Boinked!
There were people justifying the jump in Stores FVF fees last year too. Some people seem to think that if eBay gets more money some of it will trickle down to sellers...I'm still waiting for that to happen.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

auctionguild Quote:Hidden ebaY Fee Increase[/quote] Another article and many reader comments, both pro and con, from buyers and sellers on the "hidden fee increase": Quote:Here's a novel method for raising fees without actually raising fees -- stop issuing refunds. That's what eBay did to some of its sellers recently. full article: http://redtape.msnbc.com/2006/03/ebays_c...html#posts |

I won't be posting anymore about hidden fee increases. The majority LOVE them!

I couldn't pass up the handy "e-mail this article" link. I wonder if Bill Cobb will actually read it.

All I can say is:
Both ebay and PayPals actions are not that of legitimate ethically run companies but are most akin to underworld criminal organizations. IMO

Will this seller be refunded or will the new rules apply?

Heh . . . I hope I am wrong, but I think the chance of Birdie getting her money back are right up there with the chance of me finding out I am Meg and Bill's love child.

I think she has a 50/50 chance. Depends on who is reading eBay's rules and how he/she interprets them.

Re: eBay! Raises! Fees! Sellers! Get! Boinked!
If she didn't bomb her auctions almost instantly, she be SOL in getting her $ back. With the new TL, everything is on one face page (which is nice), but an inadvertent click somewhere will *check* something. I don't know about anyone else, but my forefinger is heavy enough to constantly be clicking my mouse *unintentionally*. It only took ONCE for me to become absolutely paranoid about checking and rechecking all listings before uploading, and to absolutely READ and ABSORB the 'listing fees' before final upload. I was lucky. I got my money back, being a new ID and all..... ;D
