More Unfixed PayPal Glitches: Customers Balances Once Again Wrong
This glitch is a reverse of last weekend's double billing glitch.  This weekend transactions done with the PayPal debit card during the week are being reversed (with the original charge or withdrawal now showing as expired) and customers are once again reporting incorrect balances in their accounts.

Many threads on eBay's PayPal board about this latest glitch, and once again no announcement from PayPal.  Its about time a Federal regulator stepped in and slapped this company silly  Icon_tongue since they seem incapable or safely holding their customer's money or even being able to provide their customers with a correct account balance .

Auctionbytes seems a little slow in getting around to this one:

This is a question on the Stores Board under the PP meeting info.

twosoutherndivas  (152 )  View Listings | Report  Sep-15-05 18:47 PDT  3 of 3
Good Morning
My question comes from the prevailing problem of identity theft, Are our Paypal accounts protected like FDIC banks are in the case of identity theft or someone illegally accessing our accounts?

BBH, are you going to tell her the only one that illegally accesses our PP accounts is PP itself?

PayPal Debit Card Problems Continue
The PayPal debit card problems which started on August 30th have yet to be fixed.

Quote:PayPal is now battling two problems that are affecting users of its debit card and continues to put the blame on its third-party processing vendor. One problem is ongoing and started right before Labor Day when some debit-card holders noticed duplicate withdrawals from their accounts

http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m09/i20/s01

PayPal debit card holder double debited $800 as a result of glitch and PayPal unable/unwilling to help him:

Quote:Called the supervisor at the debit card dept and this is what he said:"These charges are to cover the extra credits from the expired ATM withdrawal which you received". I asked from which date and they can't find it.

So I guess i'm out $800 and I'm not going to be a good boy and just sit while they jack off my money.

Re: More Unfixed PayPal Glitches: Customers Balances Once Again Wrong
I used my USPS Click and Ship account on 11/03/2005.
Used my PP card as a CREDIT card online to pay. PP double dipped the amount.
(Even shows the cash back bonus in my PP records, so You know it was used as a CC).
I’ve been monitoring the situation and taking screen shots and printing history as well.
As it stands right now PP owes me some $$$.

This happened before with the debt card but it is a first for me to
see these anomalies now using the PP card as a credit card.

One of the duplicate transactions is now showing complete and the other
pending. However my PP balance reflects BOTH amounts deducted from my PP balance.
(Which isn’t very much at all because I keep very little $$$ there for obvious reasons)..
Imagin that times a few million accounts. Lots of float for the old ePbay going
through the weekend me thinks.

This company NEEDS and audit / investigation on many fronts from the FEDS.

Good morning to all as well. Wave
