Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
DB, I love the look of the store.
The only problem I have is that I know you have a gazillion great items. If I click on jeans/shorts, for instance, if you happen to have 99 items listed, I'm not going to even look because I would have to wade through all of them to find my size. I shop by size first, then category. Please don't beat me.

Because I have so many different designers, a size 2 in one designer is a size 6 in another, and maybe even a size 8 in vintage sizing, so I gave up on that idea. I think you can always to an advanced search for size, anyway. If I do get jeans, I'll probably just create a new category. What do you think? Good point, BBH, about the cards and stuff. Gotta run. Later, everybody. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hi all! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the nice weather! I was looking at everyones stores and they all look great!
DB~You have a nice start on ecrater! You FAQ and info pages are great, I guess I have some more work to do with mine! I think you should definatley do ad words! I know spending that $30 a month has at least doubled my sales. $30 is a small price to pay for getting your name out there, especially when you are paying nothing for your store. You may want to get a few more items in your store before you start your ad though. Good luck! |

Now, here's a novel way to get traffic:
Here's a post from a cheerleading Popper with Montana and Nikki in the store name. Quote:My sitemeter stats are always showing people searching for Nikki Montana. It's almost always people from other countries, and it seems to go in spurts. I guess when I come up in their search results, even though my description doesn't have anything to do with what they are looking for, they get curious and click on my link anyway. The other day, one of these people even looked at a couple of pages besides my home page. =)bolding mine. For those who aren't familiar with Nikki Montana, her lengthy list of film credits include: 1. Innocent Until Proven Filthy (2006) (V) 2. Anything Goes (2005) (V) 3. Ass Crackin' 6 (2005) (V) 4. Cum Swapping & Lollipops (2005) (V) 5. Double the Fun: 2 on 1 (2005) (V) 6. European Mail Order Brides 5 (2005) (V) 7. Euro Sluts 2: Manoscritto (2005) (2005) (V) |

OK. Here's a stupid tech question that everybody probably knows but me:
Since Ecrater doesn't support HTML code, I'm guessing I can't add SiteMeter. Right? If not, is there any other way to track traffic that will work? Oh, and in case anybody's wondering, I'm not changing my store name to Linda's Lovelace and Shoes. |

[/quote] No, you can't add site meter. The only way I can track my traffic is by looking at the product hits and looking at my adword campaign to see how many have clicked on my ad. It would be nice if they could add a counter on our homepages, but it does not seem that they are quick to make any changes over there. |

Thanks, Brat.
Oh, well. I guess that's part of the price one pays for not being smart enough to get one's own site together. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
That's one of the reasons that I closed my crater store. No sales since January (only 2 then) and no way to track traffic coming in. Blujay is still up for now but all is on hold and directs everyone to my website... Its coming up in a lot of searches so I don't want to close it...
I read the boards some when I was over there and it doesn't look like HTML will ever be an option there. |
