Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
River, et. al. I second what Sherrand just said. All GTC listings will remain active until KaRayAnd decides to close them -- today, tomorrow, never. It matters not if you've been banned, close on your own volition, send a thousand messages to CC, stand on your head while you juggle and drink Koolaid, or whatever feats of acrobatic achievement you may display. The listings STAY on the tote board -- period.
TTers figured something was not right with this picture many months ago when some took the time to actually count the listings, compare with the listing count KaRay was giving, the number that appeared through independent search and the number of "closed" listings created when sellers were coming to TT, claiming they had closed their stores, yet the stores still showed up on the home page and the listing numbers still appeared. This anomaly became part of Truth's "fudge" statistics. The ONLY way to make sure all your listings are ended is to end EACH AND EVERY ONE YOURSELF before contacting CC to have your store closed. Unlike any other REAL auction venue, there is no "close my account" link for a good reason, and that reason favors the pocket and the deceiving practices of El Boinktardio. |

But now I ask myself this: Since I'm not old school, and not new school, does that make me a middle-schooler?

Yes, but that sale I'm referring to is NOT legit. I (aka sniksnak since I couldn't use my seller ID meowsnbarks) "purchased" two of that item after Patty was banned and her store shut down by WP, which means she didn't receive the order, WP didn't get FVF, I didn't get the soaps. Just how skewed is that? In my mind, this is simply another example of false sales figures and feedback.
Oh, I see what you're saying - I didn't realize it was an experiment. Yes, it does seem very strange you would be able to leave FB - not good for sure in the sense that a disgruntled buyer getting no response could leave all kinds of crap attached to the seller's good name. When I asked CS if my listings would be removed once I closed the store account and they said, yes they would be. I guess if they ban someone, they don't bother.
Shelley, not true. another AndRay, KaRay fib. Remember Chainman? He asked for his store to be closed and went through all the right channels. The final straw for him BTW was having a post of his removed. Well I checked after he was gone and found his items still active. They are long gone now so you will have to take my word for it as I can't provide any proof.
I can vouch for one store having been banned and his listings were still active and that was in March - however, I don't know how long these listings remained up. My thought was that they came to expire and then ended. But who knows.
Stop LURKING - Come and post!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Store Update:
It's been an interesting week everyone. There are a number of stores currently making their way to page nine and out but I'll hold off recounting them here until they shut their doors or empty out. BIG BIG FUN! - 81 items, empty but not closed. This store emptied once before and came back. Lori's Loft - 42 items, empty but not closed. Same as above, 2nd time showing empty in a month. Jewles by Gigi - 27 items, closed. New seller who signed up in May. Star Dog General Store - 7 items, empty but not closed. The Texas Rose 7 items - empty (AGAIN) but not closed. Oh Mama Mia - 1 item, empty but not closed. Pookie*Pouches - 1 item, empty but not closed. Odekirk's Yearbooks and More! emptied over a month ago and came back this morning with 385 listings. Pattys Knick Knack Shack emptied 2 weeks ago and returned a couple of days ago. Terri's Closet of Curiosities has vacillated between empty and 1-18 items for a number of months now. Still wishing everyone a Happy New Year on her landing page. Patti, I take back what I said about lack of activity with ghost stores. There appears to be a whole rash of members suddenly deciding to re-open their stores that had been officially closed in the past. And members who have been around for a while who all of a sudden decided they needed to open a store on WP. Some of the former type. Notice the lack of a floundering member icon: http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/BASEBALL-MOMS-TREASURES http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/RED-DESERT-COLLECTIBLES http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/on-a-moonbeam Some of the latter type. I only say latter because I cannot confirm if they were previously a store or not. They could have been hidden behind the "Request could not be completed" page so I wasn't able to get any history on them. http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/argomarket http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/MickleReed Stores that I know were closed and are now activated again without any inventory. Just waiting in the wings to pump up the flagging count. http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/bigswole http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/duckys-dream http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/eclothingoutlet http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/Lainees-Loft

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Well,Well, Well.........I have missed so much over the past few days. I must say I am very sad to see that those who started this thread no longer will be sharing their wisdom. Though I was a WP seller I was never a cheerleader and after being criticised on the share your wares thread because my picture was to large and bothered someone, I never posted on on those boards again. I started lurking here and must admit that you all had a huge hand in my decision to close my store at WP and stop wasting my time. I guess I to would consider myself a middle-schooler. I have really enjoyed participating on this thread and sometimes just coming in for a visit knowing I am going to walk away with a smile on my face. You are a very entertaining group of people and I hope you all don't hang up your keyboards when it comes to being involved in the WP2 Deja Vu. You have opened the eyes of many and there are still those out there that need help. I am sure we newbies could handle it BUT it is so much more fun to have everyone involved!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Sherry, great report, as always. So monthly d-day is what, 2 days away? That would explain the empty stores waiting in the wings.
How'd that old song go.... "Lord, I'm so tired. How long can this go on?" |
