Store Update: It's been an interesting week everyone. There are a number of stores currently making their way to page nine and out but I'll hold off recounting them here until they shut their doors or empty out. BIG BIG FUN! - 81 items, empty but not closed. This store emptied once before and came back. Lori's Loft - 42 items, empty but not closed. Same as above, 2nd time showing empty in a month. Jewles by Gigi - 27 items, closed. New seller who signed up in May. Star Dog General Store - 7 items, empty but not closed. The Texas Rose 7 items - empty (AGAIN) but not closed. Oh Mama Mia - 1 item, empty but not closed. Pookie*Pouches - 1 item, empty but not closed. Odekirk's Yearbooks and More! emptied over a month ago and came back this morning with 385 listings. Pattys Knick Knack Shack emptied 2 weeks ago and returned a couple of days ago. Terri's Closet of Curiosities has vacillated between empty and 1-18 items for a number of months now. Still wishing everyone a Happy New Year on her landing page. Patti, I take back what I said about lack of activity with ghost stores. There appears to be a whole rash of members suddenly deciding to re-open their stores that had been officially closed in the past. And members who have been around for a while who all of a sudden decided they needed to open a store on WP. Some of the former type. Notice the lack of a floundering member icon: http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/BASEBALL-MOMS-TREASURES http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/RED-DESERT-COLLECTIBLES http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/on-a-moonbeam Some of the latter type. I only say latter because I cannot confirm if they were previously a store or not. They could have been hidden behind the "Request could not be completed" page so I wasn't able to get any history on them. http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/argomarket http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/MickleReed Stores that I know were closed and are now activated again without any inventory. Just waiting in the wings to pump up the flagging count. http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/bigswole http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/duckys-dream http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/eclothingoutlet http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/Lainees-Loft
Wow! Now see, this is what I'm talking about with time, effort and in-depth searching and finding! This is just amazing when you think about it - the time and effort this man (?) has put into scamming everyone... if he would have put that much time into actually trying to make the site succeed... what an a-hole! |

Thanks for the report, Sher.
Curious how stores magically spring to life after being closed and dead for months as the 20th of the month approaches. Can't let on what the "REAL" store count is. Why that would be downright "negative" and "unsupportive." Ray |

Sherry, great report, as always. So monthly d-day is what, 2 days away? That would explain the empty stores waiting in the wings. How'd that old song go.... "Lord, I'm so tired. How long can this go on?"
Invoices are due tomorrow. End of grace period. The Axeman cometh on the 28th or 29th. Here's another appropriate song. "Please release me let me go...I don't love you anymore..."

Quote:Advanced Selling: Wagglepop Stores - Hello, Greetings, Etc.Etc. Bolding is mine. Is it just because I'm crabby today or does this bother anybody else. Didn't WP recently celebrate their 1 year anniversary? Didn't they at one point have almost 900 stores and now they are down to 217? It just makes my skin crawl when I read that it is a new site and how great it is to be a part of something that is just starting. Just starting ? Don't think so................. O.K. I'm done............ |

:ditto:
WP is not just starting - the time to grow with it has long come and gone. Any sellers coming in now are listing and waiting for the end, not the beginning of sales. |

It's warm and cozy here (most of the time)
Mmmmmm, yeah like that feeling you get after taking a valium... Gosh, is that all they have to talk about?
Reminds me of a Popper some months back who said WP made her feel all "warm and fuzzy" inside. I think she's now one of the most vocal "miscreants" on TT.
I think that was me, DB. And you are right. I'm such a miscreant. Not as vocal as I was, tho. Too much to deal with over here. I'll spare the details but break a "rule" and ask for prayer for me and my family please. |

From a new potential store owner on WP:
Quote:18 Jun 2007 05:13 Bolding mine - this poor poor person... no matter the name, if they start on WP, they're going to have to start all over again soon enough. |

Lur-Kist, Would you care to explain your avatar? As an animal lover, I find it a bit disturbing.
No not really. But I will... It was a joke email I received once and I thought it was cute that an obviously very young kitten would hold his hands up long enough for someone to take a picture of it. Perhaps you'd like to know that the current avatar is my newest pet, strayed up this winter pregnant. I paid big dollars 5 weeks ago to take her to the vet on a Friday evening to have a c-section when she couldn't have #5. I've taken countless kittens and mommas and strays and fed them and found them homes. I currently feed at least 3 cats who won't come near me but they come to eat. I don't sit around and shoot cats, birds, or any other living animals. Insects are another story. But hey, if you really want, I could send you some. Did I mention, I have a nice sized bat house?

I love you kitty stories too but then I'm not impartial to felines.
