Again I ask if anyone as bought from one of the "ghost stores". Are their inventory real??
Hi Nikki, I can't speak for anyone here specifically. I certainly haven't. But in researching the membership I've found some neg feedback left by buyers who consistently complained of no contact from the seller. A few have been on stores I suspected were unattended and they coincidently closed the next time the axeman visited. Meows, I think you hit one trying to buy a couple of books. Does Under The Sun Books and More ring a bell with you?

Ray's pride will keep WP2 open indefinitely because he doesn't want to be regarded as a two time failure but WP2 has now entered the land of theauctionman.net (TAM) - the doors are open but the owner has left the building.
Face it people. Ray has left WP on auto hamster, went to home depot and is now a stock boy. Cha ching, cha ching, cha ching. Truth
You're both absolutely correct as usual. When 'Karen' quit, so did Ray. This show is over folks and there's nothing left to see. There won't even be a big grand finale to watch like there was during WP1...no melodramatic closing speech, no cries of disbelief from the sellers or rounds of 'I told you sos' from the detractors. WP will continue to languish until one day Ray just doesn't bother to hit the reset button when the database goes down. Rest in Peace, Wagglepop...... We knew ya too well this time.
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

ETA: Oops Just to add - I noticed yesterday and this morning early that store count hit 192 again... wondered when it would fall back down - there's always a nice little rise when a real fall in numbers is going to happen. |

Quote:xxxxxxxxxxx 08 Jul 2007 20:38 And we're the stalkers.
Let's not forget all the other "helpful marketing hints" to Poopers: 1) Leave calling cards in truck stop rest rooms (next to the "for a good time call Brandy" graffiti) and laundry mats (next to the "babysitter wanted for my 10 little brats" ads) 2) Spam "friendly" boards 3) Paint WP on the side of your car and get a personalized WP license plate holder. Looks great with the KKK and the "my kid can beat up your kid" bumper stickers. Also nicely complements the glow-in-the-dark Virgin Mary on the dashboard and the sponge dice hanging from the rear view mirror 4) Spam "friendly" boards 5) Pin calling cards on the bulletin board at church, school, and grocery store 6) Stick WP links in your eBay auctions. So what if it's against policy. The Bay is evil and that justifies being dishonest. 7) Put "visit my WP store with a link" in all eBay correspondence and eBay feedback tags. Snicker like a little kid who stole a dollar from mom's purse and got away with it. 8) Spam Craig's list, My Space and "friendly" boards 9) Sell items to yourself to build up feedback 10) Announce on the WP boards that you're giving special discounts to other WP sellers. This makes buyers who read the boards feel like they're getting cheated, so they'll want to become sellers too, so they can get in on the action 11) Spam flea markets, fairs, block parties, and garage sales 12) Crash weddings, bar mitzvahs, christenings and funerals and make sure you put your card on everybody's windshield in the parking lot. Give bereavement discounts. 13) Start a petition for establishing a WP day and present it to the governor 14) Stand on a busy corner in a bunny suit and a WP foam finger 15) Make a deal with Chung-King to stuff your WP URL in their fortune cookies and/or give the 10-year-old neighbor kid a couple of old Playboys in exchange for stuffing your calling cards into his morning paper deliveries |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hello everyone...
I'm back online again and wanted to stop in and say thanks to everyone who offered help and suggestions. I finally gave up on Juno and signed up with a new ISP. Thanks especially for the suggestion of looking in the yellow pages for a local internet provider. I feel more comfortable knowing if I have problems I can just pick up the phone and talk to someone for help without paying a dime. It really aggravates me that my "problem" is on Juno's end but am unable to get them to solve whatever the problem is. Anyway thanks again. Now I can get back to work on my new stores. OnAJourney Nikki =) |
