Let's not forget all the other "helpful marketing hints" to Poopers: 1) Leave calling cards in truck stop rest rooms (next to the "for a good time call Brandy" graffiti) and laundry mats (next to the "babysitter wanted for my 10 little brats" ads) 2) Spam "friendly" boards 3) Paint WP on the side of your car and get a personalized WP license plate holder. Looks great with the KKK and the "my kid can beat up your kid" bumper stickers. Also nicely complements the glow-in-the-dark Virgin Mary on the dashboard and the sponge dice hanging from the rear view mirror 4) Spam "friendly" boards 5) Pin calling cards on the bulletin board at church, school, and grocery store 6) Stick WP links in your eBay auctions. So what if it's against policy. The Bay is evil and that justifies being dishonest. 7) Put "visit my WP store with a link" in all eBay correspondence and eBay feedback tags. Snicker like a little kid who stole a dollar from mom's purse and got away with it. 8) Spam Craig's list, My Space and "friendly" boards 9) Sell items to yourself to build up feedback 10) Announce on the WP boards that you're giving special discounts to other WP sellers. This makes buyers who read the boards feel like they're getting cheated, so they'll want to become sellers too, so they can get in on the action 11) Spam flea markets, fairs, block parties, and garage sales 12) Crash weddings, bar mitzvahs, christenings and funerals and make sure you put your card on everybody's windshield in the parking lot. Give bereavement discounts. 13) Start a petition for establishing a WP day and present it to the governor 14) Stand on a busy corner in a bunny suit and a WP foam finger 15) Make a deal with Chung-King to stuff your WP URL in their fortune cookies and/or give the 10-year-old neighbor kid a couple of old Playboys in exchange for stuffing your calling cards into his morning paper deliveries
OMG, I'm absolutely howling!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Yesterday I decided to have a look see how the Ad Smart campaign is doing. Who's still throwing their money away on it. I made a rather interesting discovery and I'd be interested to learn if anyone else here found the same.
Through Browse I clicked on Books. I checked fiction and Children's. I'm sure my fellow TTers will agree that I'm pretty familiar with all the store names on WP. But some of the AdSmart banners I saw were names I've never seen. Names such as: THE ONLINE SOURCE VINTAGE SCI-FI SOURCE BEST BOOKS ONLINE GALACTICA GALORE INFANT EMPORIUM QUANTUM LEAP COLLECTIBLES COLLINWOOD COLLECTIBLES SCI-FI COLLECTORS HAVEN So I clicked on these and others I found in different categories. Let me clarify that I did not click on any banner to a store I know exists. I invite you all to repeat this process, look for these names, click and report where you ended up. I'm sure you will be as surprised as I was. If you don't see any of these names the first time you reach the ads, just keep refreshing your page until you do.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.
