Quote:Well, this means if the site has been down for several hours that Ray was actually listing on eBay while it was down. The great threat Wagglepop poses to eBay's monopoly of the US online auction market must have Meg and Bill quaking in their boots. arcasm1: |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hi Sherrand thanks for posting the link. It's another perfect example of what so many sellers experienced when trying to close their WP store. The froogle feeds that this seller talks about have been messed up or non existent for months now. I noticed it during my transition period when I was moving listings off WP and onto other sites. Someone had said that things were not showing up so I went to check it out. Sure enough nothing from WP was showing but the listings that I had moved to other sites were already showing.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I have just about decided that there is a small group of sellers, roughly 100, that will believe in and support Wagglepop until the day Ray shuts it off. Even after posting on their board, I saw a seller say that she fully intended "to give Ray more money to keep listing on eBay" by opening a second store. That is just plain bass ackward to me, to knowingly give someone more money to promote his eBay store instead of the site he promised to promote. The owners of HiBidder, YHB, AQ, PH, etc. have likely made less than $10K combined in the past year in fees, yet they manage to make more effort to promote their sites than a man who has taken over $200K in a year. Did he attempt to join in the SS2BM? Has he attempted to team up, or has he even communicated with other RScript site owners? (If any are reading, please do respond!)
The only thing he did was conjure a new CC rep from his imagination to tell the sellers it was their fault for not having 3,000 stores, and say AFTER the fact that if all sellers stayed, there would be 3,000 and the investors would have stayed on with WP. I can see the reason for a publicly traded company to keep info like that from stockholders, but Wagglepop never has been considered by any trading market. Thus, the entire post on WP about the investors was a crock, because no SEC laws would have been violated by simply saying "A large investment firm is willing to back WP if we reach 3,000 stores." That would have kept the sellers there, and WP would be successful now. But... it wasn't shared with sellers because it was their strategic plan? COME ON Ray! You are too smart to think a lie like that is plausible. What does all this mean? Ray has leased a server through Gator or GoDaddy for $4000 in the past year, and pocketed the extra $200K he's been paid. That though, is why the sellers still there will be there until doomsday. They believe his, or "Andrew's" words as gospel. I keep reading here and at PSU that 80% of the sellers left WP. The truth is, as "Andrew" stated, if all the sellers/stores that closed were still open, there would be 3,000 today. This means that nearly 95% of sellers left, leaving Ray with about 5% positive feedback rating by my calculator. According to Britannica, that's the same percent of Americans that belong to groups widely acknowledged as cults. Does anyone see a similarity? In a cult, all the members follow the leader who has basically brainwashed them to believe his way is "the" way. His words become truth. But... It is not the member's faults, they have done nothing wrong. They simply believe in a con-artist's vision blindly. It appears those left are there to stay. They will continue paying the leader, who is only pursuing his own interests with their contributions as a good cult leader should.
"Listen up Mother****er. Try that bulls*** here and I will hand you and your head in a basket"
- Ray Romeo's alter ego Andrew Pittino responding when I signed up a new account on Wagglepop to verify the non-existence of a way to opt out of his sharing my information with third parties. |
