Oh, and Andrew, Ray, USER, please explain the "business sense" for SERIOUS CAREER SELLERS (not hobbyists)
I will speak slowly and use the simplest possible terms. Wagglepop store = easiest and most efficient and cost effective way to get the best search engine exposure (note that this only works for sellers who actually list their items and actually leave their stores open) = maximum sales = maximum profits Quote:in doing all that work for someone other than themselves and GLEEFULLY PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE forever and ever, amen? That is precisely what you are doing for FeeBay. |

Apart from that, a dozen or so other FREE sites DELIVER better SEO than WP "claims" it does for a FEE. Point Two: I DO NOT DO ONE SINGLE THING ON WP'S "SPAM THE WORLD" LIST -- NOT ONE! That's what I pay fees to eBay for, you idiot! Edit: True to form, I believe you used all points 1-7 of my previous post. |

Quote:I have stores on both Wagglepop and Amazon. Amazon can be nice for supplemental cash flow, but it's easier to make much higher profits here.
Why is it BS? The numbers speak for themselves. PS is right...eBay should be more worried about WP's Revolution than Amazon's 3P seller program. Amazon: 1.3 million third party sellers Wagglepop: 200 sellers "making a fortune" (hee, hee) Amazon: 80 million buyers Wagglepop: a few thousand buyers (I'm being very generous with this number) Amazon 3P sellers' GMV: $3.74 billion in sales (3P sellers account for 26% of Amazon's $14.4 billion annual revenues) Wagglepop sellers' GMV: ummm...hee hee...never mind, the numbers really do speak for themselves... unless you've overdosed on friggin' Ray kool-aid. :imptongue: I feel sorry for any poor seller who falls for the lie that WP offers sellers "much higher" profit potential than Amazon. : Quote:7) Liberally pour gospel, mantra and emotion as salt in wounds of those who are gullible and vulnerable (ripe for the pickin'), hoping to snare them in a irrational moment of weakness Not a good business plan. Many sites have based their marketing around eBay changes (starting with Gold's in 1999) and all have had the same result: sellers recover from their eBay fee/policy induced shock after about 3 months and return to eBay after realizing they made a very bad business move and the grass wasn't greener on the other side. If you want to attract masses of sellers for the long term you either need to offer them instant gratification (i.e. buyers today not the next decade...think Amazon) or something that is truly revolutionary (think Etsy not WP).

Quote:Wagglepop store = easiest and most efficient and cost effective way to get the best search engine exposure Wagglepop stores (and every other venue's stores too) give your brand (i.e. your store's name) absolutely no exposure in Google Shopping/Product Search so I definitely wouldn't say WP offers the best search engine exposure unless your goal is to advertise someone else's brand (i.e. the WP name) in search results

But you get the idea anyway. Or not.

Quote:Imagine how much better they would be doing if they had had the sense to move their eBay operations to Wagglepop SmartSell Pro (the OAI's best value) instead of Amazon Marketplace after the Summer 2006 eBay fee hikes! I don't know about Amazon, but I can't understand why all eBay Power Sellers are not moving their operations from mean, ugly, GreedBay to WP, considering the great profit potential WP has to offer. According to my calculations of the sales evidence, WP's biggest cheerleader herself managed to gross about $30 after store fees and commissions on WP during the last three months, and about $550 after commissions and fees on eBay for the same period. I'm going to take her advice and close my eBay store right now. Oh wait, I can't re-register at WP because I was kicked out for asking the "forbidden" question: "why does WP charge monthly subscription fees and FVFs for offering the same SEO and other services that at least a dozen other auction sites offer at no charge?" --------------- Edit: Oh, and I just remembered, didn't the same #1 disciple cheerleader say she was a Silver PowerSeller on eBay? Doesn't that mean gross sales of $3000 or more per month for three consecutive months? And didn't USER say that any PowerSeller could reach the same level on WP should he/she keep a store STOCKED AND OPEN for at least two years? Looks like WP's #1 cheerleader is definitely on track to reach that level since she opened and has kept her store stocked since July 2006. Never mind me. According to WP's #1 cheerleader, I'm just suffering from "the beginning stages of Alzheimer's" and made it all up. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
My oh my oh my
.. since I havent been around in a couple months, I decided to stop in this morning and get caught up on all the happenings and un-happenings on this, my favorite of all, threads on TT.
Imagine my surprise when I saw that I was more than 10 pages behind in reading and that it would take me all morning of my day off to actually read thru the posts and then off course, (hee hee), add my own opinions of what has transpired. Here are my thoughts on my mornings readings (I actually had to take notes to be sure I didnt miss anything ): 1. User Its so nice to know that no matter how nutty this crazy ol world gets, some things never change. The fact that you still believe that most seller left WP due to nonpayment gives me that fuzzy warm feeling in the pit of my tummy because I know that I can come back in another 2 months and things will be just as I left them here. It creates a sense of normalcy in my life and for that, I truly thank you. I love that you call yourself a veteran after 20 months of trying to sell on WP. Makes me giggle. 2. $50 entry fee .. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA 3. PS and User still think that WP attracted Bad initial sellers that didnt stay more than 30 days (pssst they were the smart ones ) 4. I loved the post about listing challenges and the other poster saying no that was classic. Was that post eventually deleted? 5. The fact that Andray feels the need to flounce his debt and expenses for no other purpose than hoping someone will feel bad Hey!!! POPPERMASTER . Its called STARTING A BUSINESS!!! You frigging moron!!!! 6. Oh and USER, you mentioned that as a veteran, you are sitting back comfortably I was cracking up on this one because I knew the only way you were sitting back as a wannabe seller on WP is with your feet in the stirrups while Andray roots around your insides for just one more months store rent!!! 7. Powerseller, I sell on Amazon and do quite well so if your only making over a dollar per transaction, youre doing it wrong and I must ask Whats the point? So youre little comparison did little to impress me. All it really says is, I have no idea what Im doing and I can prove it!! 8. Actually PS, you had me laughing a few pages back when you asked DB if she wanted a list of everything you ate and drank or something like that That was funny so I decided that if DB wasnt going to request it then yes I do want that list in meal order starting with your most recent meal eaten. If youre going to be sarcastic, you should watch what you say someone might call you on it. 9. BBH I was reading your buyer vs. seller counts for WP and actually I think the number is the same sellers buying from other sellers. Id be surprised if there were more than 300 people that actually buy there that dont sell there too. 10. I would rather stick pins in my eyes than reactivate my account at WP. 11. WTP should be WTF... THAT was funny!!!! 12. "Wagglepop store = easiest and most efficient and cost effective way to get the best search engine exposure"............... OK... I have to admit, this one made me throw up in my mouth a little... but I'm OK... In closing, I would like to once again reiterate (that means repeat for PS and USERs benefits) that I did not leave WP for non-payment, I was kicked out for asking when they would be advertising the site. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. So you may ask what have I been up to the last couple of months? Well Im working (out of the home) and loving it, I sell on Amazon, my own site and eBay but soon will be closing my eBay store and sticking with auctions only. Amazon is a lot of fun and I really enjoy it I buy a lot there too so feel free to PM me your store name and Ill check you out!! I'm sorry to say that I am more of a hobby seller now rather than full time but I'm ok with that. I love my job and enjoy my work so it's all good. I still get that little pang of happiness when I get the "Item Sold" emails and wouldn't ever give it up totally. I also hang out at the Crabby forums which are a lot of fun!! I really enjoy this thread... don't let it die!! Sorry this is so long but hey... I am long winded!!!!! Man! I missed you guys!!!! |
