The monthly pruning of the "deadbeats" is almost upon us!
As of this moment there are at least 19 active stores that should go poof on the 20th - D-Day. They haven't coughed up the funds. There are 40 stores that previously listed but are currently empty that don't appear to be enthusiastic about selling on WP and the majority of those will most likely be shut down with the purge. There are another 16 that have yet to list any items. Some of those will probably go too. So...Sneaky, pick a number!

Why isn't he coming here to defend the site and blame these sellers for their in inability to utilize all the wonderful features WP offers? |

It's the 21st and no deadbeat pruning. :blinkie:
Did Ray maybe decide not to do his usual monthly pruning this month because the May 1st boycott is only days away and he wants to keep the store count as high as possible to impress potential new sellers? |
I don't know how only 259 stores on an ENTIRE SELLING VENUE, amost HALF of which have only 50 items or less, could be so impressive as to illicit a defection from eBay to WP -- hey, even the fearless WP cult leader won't give up his eBay store. Oh, and this is a store description from one of the newest store owners: Quote:I am a 4 year old kid. I run this place. . . I sell fun things for other kids to enjoy, items of mine that can be passed on to someone else, and things I make. Proceeds go toward the trampoline that I need to get my extra wiggles out. $10/mo. fees and one item. Trampoline? In your dreams, pal. |

Quote:$10/mo. fees and one item. I saw one WP store that is paying $10 to list 1 item with a 1 cent opening bid and 10 cent buy it now price. :blinkie:Â Lack of business sense isn't limited to WP though--I recently saw an eBay seller who is paying over 70% of her gross in eBay/PayPal fees, and even though her average selling price is under $5 she is offering free shipping on every item. :blinkie: |
I had already suspected as such, even though WP's trampoline-wiggling, pre-school seller has his own user ID. Maybe Ray should remind his head cheerleader and principal spammer of WP's user agreement: "To become a registered Wagglepop member, you must be at least 18 years of age and be able to form or enter into a legally binding contract in accordance with applicable laws." |
